Teaching Internship Programmes – Summer 2026
We have 2 Teaching Internship Programmes commencing in Summer 2026 at Primary and Secondary schools across the East Midlands!
We are offering a 3-week placement from 22nd June to 10th July 2026 for those interested in teaching Physics, Maths, Chemistry, Computing, MFL, D&T or Primary.
This programme offers an insight into teaching as a career and will allow interns to work with current trainees, teachers and leaders. You’ll gain classroom experience, support pupils, shadow experienced teachers, observe lessons, learn about a career in teaching and lots more!

Computing Hubs: Primary Programming and Algorithms
In association with North Midlands Computing Hub and funded by the DfE, we have put together a program of free one day CPD courses to support both computing leads and teachers upskill themselves to become more confident and effective teachers of computing. A subsidy of £205 is also available to fund supply costs once per academic year for schools in Education Investment Areas; Derby, Derbyshire
All courses will be held at Portland Spencer Academy, Conference Centre, Nottingham, NG8 4BW
This hands-on course will allow teacher to understand the key vocabulary linked to algorithms and programming and the progression from EYFS – KS2. The day will include looking at how to utilise Beebots, Scratch Jnr and Scratch into your setting alongside computational thinking and unplugged activities.

In association with North Midlands Computing Hub and funded by the DfE, we have put together a program of free one day CPD courses to support both computing leads and teachers upskill themselves to become more confident and effective teachers of computing. A subsidy of £205 is also available to fund supply costs once per academic year for schools in Education Investment Areas; Derby, Derbyshire

Introduction to Primary Computing
Date: 8th November 2023
This CPD day covers the whole computing curriculum, looking at computer science, programming, information technology and digital literacy. This course will provide teachers with the knowledge and confidence to get started in teaching computing whether you are an early career teacher, or an established teacher who would like to improve your understanding of how to teach computing.
